The Lord Fairfax Cmmunity College Foundation announced last week a major gift from B.G. Sowder of Warrenton.
According to an LFCC spokesman, the gift of property in Fauquier County consists of a building and 2.6 acres of land just off Route 29 south of Warrenton. A recent appraisal valued the property at $437,000. The building, formerly a bar£, has been totally renovated into offices, classromms and a computer lab.
