RICHMOND — A handful of local tax options were spilled out on the table at a meeting of the Norther11 Virginia legislative delegation Monday, Jan. 23.
An income tax option without a referendum was presented to the delegation followed by proposals for impact fees, gasoline, recordation Mid hotel room tax increases. The words of Gov. Gerald L. Baliles echoed around the conference room as members of the delegation sought genuine solutions” to the transportation problem plaguing areas of Northern Virginia.
