RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION^
WHEREAS, Nelson P. Lane has resigned his position as Supervisor 1 for Stonewall-Hawthom Magisterial District, effective March 6, 1989; and.
W HEREAS, Mr. Lane has served on the Board of Supervisors with distinction, since 1983 helping to shepherd the community during a period of much trial and controversy; and.
WHEREAS, Mr. Lane's experience, leadership, and dedication were instrumental in meeting the challenges of preparing and adopting comprehensive new Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, siting and permitting a state-of-the-art sanitary landfill, and the many other tasks that have fallen to the Board of Supervisors during the past several years; and.
WHEREAS, prior to his election to the Board of Supervisors, Mr. Lane served as a member of the Rappahannock County School Board from 1980 to 1983 assisting in the implementation of important capital projects such as the School Bus Maintenance Shop and Administrative
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, on this third day of April. 1989. by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, that Nelson P. Lane has served his District and the County as a whole with great distinction and honor, and that his many efforts to preserve and protect the Rappahannock way and quality of life are deserving of great praise and abiding gratitude, which are extended hereby to Mr. Lane, from his colleagues.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT THE Clerk provide a copy of this resolution for publication in the Rappahannock News, Culpeper Star-Exponent, as well as for presentation to Mr. Lane.
