“It’s basically going to have a Victorian flair to it, DcLuca says of the room, which features a color scheme of cranberry, muted grays and lavender grays. SHe and her partner chose a Scalamandre moire-look fabric and bold floral wallpaper used in the Green Leaves mansion in Natchez, Miss.
The room, about 5 by 8 feet, looks “very, very elegant,” she says. The vanity cabinet is solid mahogany with a gold burnished sinkbowl. The designers had the bathtub and toilet reglazea in a cranberry tone.
A ruffled balloon shade graces the window, and tied back side panels and a ruffled valence adorn the bathtub.
The women start their design assignments with one tangible item and work from that, Andrighetti says. In this case, they began with me wallpaper.
“And then we drew all the colors for the tub and water closet and things like that from there,” DeLuca says.
Ed Bouchard and Bud Yeck of The Mill Company of Leesbsurg designed the showhouse foyer.
