Another $2,500 was added for the registrar’s salary, and $500 was added for the secretary for the Soil and Water Conservation Board. And, the dog pound got $1,500 back for care of animals orginally included in the $10,000 cut for the construction of the dog pound.
When the supervisors got to the portion of the budget for the Commissioner of Revenue’s administration of land use taxes, Col. Bingham suggested that money be added to do surveys of land use. He suggested that the county have color coded maps drawn showing what land was in land use and how much of that land was owned by non-residents.
