Wednesday morning we got up early so we could do everything that we planned to do that day. We ate at the Southern Pancake House which was across the street from the Travelodge.
After breakfast we headed to Jamestown, for a tour of the island, to see a movie, and a chance to visit the giftshop. While in Jamestown, we went to the glasshouse and to Jamestown Festival Park.
In the glasshouse, we had a chance to see men and women make blobs of melted sand into nice pieces of glass. Later on we had a chance to buy some of the glass that they were making. While in the Festival Park we got to see the ships that the Englishmen came to America in.
After we went to the Park, we went to Williamsburg Information Center where we saw a movie entitled “Story of a Patriot.” After the movie we headed to the Travelodge where we ate dinner.
Then we were supposed to have a lantern tour of Williamsburg, but it was cancelled because of bad weather. Instead of doing nothing for an hour, we decided to do the next thing on our list. That happened to be a chance to hear the Williamsburg Fife and Drum Corp.
We went back to the motel, and went swimming, and went to bed an hour earlier.
By Thursday morning we were used to getting up early since we had had to get up early both mornings before. We ate breakfast and went to <polonial Williamsburg where we toured the town with our guides.
Some of the places that we went are: The Governor’s Palace, Bruton Parish Church, and The College of William and Mary. We spent about eight hours in Williamsburg before we went back to the motel to eat dinner.
After dinner we boarded the buses and went to a movie called “The Gunsmith”. After the movie, we went to a program about Colonial Music and Dancing. Some of us even got to dance.
When we finally got back to the Travelodge, we went swimming for 45 minutes and then went to bed.
Friday morning we had to wake up even earlier because we had to get all of our stuff ready to go. We had to check out of the motel at about 8:15.
We went to Richmond where we visited St. John’s Church, the State Capitol, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and The Virginia Science Museum.
