Runners face the constant risk of twisting their ankle by stepping in a hole, the team members complain. “Someone could get hurt out there,” said Shannon Lillard, displaying just such an injury.
But despite the obstacle of substandard practice facilities, the squad has persevered and triumphed.
The girls team has posted a 2-1 record and the boy’s are 0-3 after close matches in Clarke, Page, and Warren counties. Certain individuals have given standout performances.
