The walls are done in a caramelcolored mid- 19th century-stvle wallpaper with palmetto designs.

“We found the wallpaper and absolutely fell in love with — the color, design, everything,” Shea says of the large floral-print design in shades of pink and lavender.
“We wanted the room to be like a little girl’s fantasy,” with a light and airy look that a baby or child could grow into or that could be made into a guest room, she says.
The showhouse is open to the public May 1 through May 26. The $10 admission cost benefits Oatlands Plantation, the 1803 National Trust property near Leesburg, and the Loudoun Museum, which houses local historic materials in Leesburg.
A $12 rate per person for groups of 20 or more includes tours of Oatlands and the museum as well as the house.
Tours run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
