It s so exciting to realize that bom again believers are the temple of holy spirit. (1 Cor. 3:16) The church is not a building, it's not stained glass, it's not a fancy cross or long robes, the church of Jesus Christ is made up of all believers. We are called in the New Testament "Ambassadors for Christ" (2 Cor. 5:20), as though God were making his appeal to men through us. That's why our lives must be different from the rest of the world. We are the salt of the Earth and if salt loses its saltyness it's no good. (Luke 14:34) I liked what one graduating senior from Rappahannock High School said "We're tired of hearing sermons, we'd like to see someone live one." Christians have a challenge, but God left us the gift of the holy spirit to comfort us and empower us for the mighty works of god.
