Jenkins reunion
The annual reunion of the family of the late Alfred and Catherine Gearing Jenkins will be held on Sunday, Aug. 13 at the Rappahannock Park, Route 211, Washington. All relatives and friends are invited to attend, bring a picnic lunch, and enjoy the day. Lunch will be served at 12:30.
Trophy Day set
The Amissville Baseball League will hold a picnic and “Trophy Day” on Aug. 19. Awards will be presented, as well as, a drawing for an autographed Redskins football donated by Rick Hunt Ford and a Redskins jacket donated by Rankin’s Sporting Goods. Winners need not be present. The kids are now' selling tickets for $1; contest will last until Aug. 19. The community is invited to visit Stuart Field evenings and Saturdays to support the teams and share in the excitement.
