two Culpeper teachers - will use the two weeks as intense preparation so that following the Awards Ceremonies on Aug. 11 this class will perform a full musical revue (open to the public at 1 p.m.).
The next largest enrollment is in the science class taught by RCHS’s Brion Patterson. Students here will test their group problem solving abilities in a “science Olympics" as well as in an innovative program which combines LEGO bricks and logo computer programming.
The Mountains was begun last year by Jon Heddleston, serving only Rappahannock youngsters. This year he has become part of the Summer-Quest Governor’s School, and is serving kids on a regional basis as well as probably several coming in from Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The Mountains is an interdisciplinary approach that helps students appreciate the environmental.
