To the editor:
The current leaders of Red China are the direct descendants of Mao Tse-tung and Chou En-lai, the worst mass murderers in all history. Why is anyone surprised at the bloody repression of the past few weeks? Shouldn’t a Communist be expected to act as Communists have always acted?
Even the Guiness Book of Records lists the leaders of Red China as mankind’s most bloody tyrants, the murders of somewhere in the order of 60 million of their fellow citizens. It is important to note that these victims did not die during wars. They were liquidated in typical Communist fashion, to spread terror and to consolidate power.
Reason and compassion for Communism’s victims dictate that the only proper response to the bloodletting in Peking (Bei jing) is U.S. withdrawal of diplomatic recognition and the consequent cessation of all aid, trade, credits, technology and equipment that is helping to keep the Communist government afloat.
We never should have extended diplomatic recognition to Red China, or to any Communist national. Doing so never helped the people who suffer under Communism; it only helps the leaders who exercise tyrannical rule.
