To the editor:
The metropolitan areas of Virginia are fortunate to have experienced economic prosperity over the past several years. With prosperity comes the potential for economic growth which, although many are opposed, is for the most part inevitable.
Electrical power is a requirement to support growth but presents a paradox in that we all want and need uninterrupted power for our daily activities, but don’t want the high voltage transmission lines that deliver the power to impact our lives. Whether you are currently affected by a Virginia Power proposal for high transmission lines or could be in the future, we believe that we can receive the power we need and have the power to control where and how the high voltage transmission lines are delivered.
