The Nineteenth Annual Festival jof Leaves Parade Committee has beigun organizing this year’s Festival j Parade which will be held on Octojjber 14, 1989 starting at 10:30 a.m. in J Front Royal, Virginia. This year’s Jcommittee members include Joyce Rutherford, Carolyn Mauck, and .Lucy Kephart. i The Parade Committee is mailing 5 applications by August 1, 1989 and 'hope that those not receiving an application but wishing to be in the patrade will contact the Warren 5 Heritage Society at 636-1446 for an ! application. Prize money will be 'available in three entry categories; j bands, marching units, and floats. 4 The deadline for the application will I be September 18, 1989. i This year’s parade will feature jarea bands, marching units, and or| ganizational entries. The McDonald j Double Dutch Jump Rope Team, i Ronald McDonald, Mosby’s Rang• ers, and the Warren County High | School Band have already agreed to j participate. The parade will follow jthe same route as last year. Units "Will line-Up on Virginia Avenue from 16th to 8th Streets, proceed down 6th • Street to Royal Avenue, and turn {south on North Royal to Chester ! Street. From Chester Street the pajfade will turn west on Main Street disbanding in the area of the Front Jloyal Police Department.
