The Regional Governor’s School, “SummerQuest!,” is hosting 110 students from Rappahannock and three neighboring counties during the first two weeks of August.
The Regional Governor’s School is an enrichment program sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education for gifted and talented students. SummerQuest serves students from the counties of Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison and Fauquier in grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. Rappahannock’s contribution is directed by Maggi Piper.
In accordance with the theme of SummerQuest, “a range of possibilities,” students chose from among seven areas of concentration: art, creative writing, journalism through print and video, the mountains, musical theater, problem solving and computer math, and science.
