The Amissville 4-H Club will meet Thursday, September 20th at 7 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Program will be given by Alice Reeve, a Rappahannock County 4-H’er, on her 4-H International Exchange Trip to Germany during the summer. This is the first meeting for the new 1990-91 year. All youth in the Amissville community ages 9-19 are welcome to come and join 4-H. It’s a hard-working and fun group. . . you’ll like it! For information, call Jennifer Gray, 4-H Leader at 9375092.

Ruritan montly meeting is set for Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Amissville Baptist. It will be Senior Citizen night and there will be a presentation on social security. Entertainment will be provided by the Switzer Family.

A bike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Rt. 621 west, between Rt’s. 229 and U.S. 211. Anyone interested in riding or assisting with the fundraiser may call Sandy Carter at 347-2497 or Brad Rosenberger at 937-4928.

Amissville Homemakers Club will conduct a workshop on Friday, September 21, at 7 p.m. at Amissville Baptist to make padded picture frames.

President Mary Priest announced that the October 1st meeting guest will be Peggy Weaver, an equine specialist. She will report on her trip to Russia.
