1 egg 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk 1/4 cup molasses 2 tablespoons cooking oil 1 cup unsifted all-purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon soda 1/2 teaspoon ginger 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1) Combine apples, brown sugar, cornstarch, water, lemon juice and cinnamon in 8-inch round glass cake dish. 2) Microwave, covered, 4 to 5 minutes or until apples are tendercrisp, stirring once. 3) Beat together egg, buttermilk, molasses and oil in mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients; beat until smooth. Pour over apples. 4) Microwave, uncovered, 6 to 7 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean, rotating dish once or twice. Serve warm or cold, plain or with whipped cream. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Tip: With combination oven, microwave in step 2 to 7 to 8 minutes. In step 4, bake at 350 degrees F. for 10 minutes and then microwavebake 3 to 4 minutes. _ . Worchestershire sauce 1/41. dry mustard 1/41. onion salt 6-8 dashes Tabasco Apple slices Lemon juice Cut bacon in 1/4 inch slices; saute until crisp and drain on absorbent paper. In the top of a double boiler, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, cream and seasonings. Heat over simmering water, stirring occasionally, until cheese melts and mixture is hot. Add bacon pieces.
