'Red Sorghum'
The movie Red Sorghum will be playing at the Gay Street Theater on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Red Sorghum is a sweeping modern-day fable that parallels the life story of an intrepid young woman with the history of China in the turbulent period of the 1930s and 40s. The movie is unrated.
RAA community meeting
The Rappahannock Athletic Association Little League has set the general community meeting for 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Rappahannock County High School. A1 Kellert, president of the RAA, said that although the focus of the meeting is the election of the 1991 officers, there also will be brief reports on the status of the League’s financial position as well as the structure of the 1991 board. All coaches and board members should attend as well as those interested in coaching next year. All other interested persons are cordially invited to attend.
