• agreed to move $1,180 from improvements to the landfill to the county’s contribution to Lord Fairfax Community College. The increase is due to more Rappahannock students taking classes at LFCC. The board also asked Dr. Gangel to look into why Rappahannock students have had trouble getting the state’s four-year colleges to accept credits earned at Lord Fairfax.

• agreed to hold a public hearing on changes to the motor vehicle laws needed to keep local ordinances in line with changes adopted by the General Assembly.
• voted to grant a right of way to the C & P Telephone Company to run a line for phone service to the dog pound and office at the landfill.
