Members of the Water and Sewer Authority raised the rates for some busineses in Sperryville and learned that they will probably not be able to get by without an engineering study for installing a dechlorinator at the treatment plant.
At last Thursday’s regular monthly meeting they also learned that Daniel Keyser of Sperryville is interested in getting the training and license to become a backup operator at the plant.
WSA member Carson Johnson did a count of the number of chairs at Horseshoe Hills Restaurant and the Woodsmoke Cafe and informed the owners that their charges based on “equivalent dwelling units” EDUs would have to increase. Horseshoe Hills will be charged for four EDUs and the Woodsmoke Cafe for three.
