Mrs. Settle was a member of the Amissville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Settle; two daughters, Pamela Jean Fincham of Amissville and Sharon K. Thomasson of Hampton; a brother, Walter J. Settle of Annandale, and five grandchildren.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Thomas Everett, the Rev. Paul Franklin and the Rev. James Floyd.

Walters
Newton A. Walters, 75, of Sperryville died Sept. 6 at his residence.
Mr. Walters was born Nov. 19, 1914 in Martin County, North Carolina, the son of the late Luther T. and Ida Virginia Taylor Walters. He was a retired self-employed cabinet maker.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Thomas Walters; five daughters, Ann Mulqueen of Alexandria, Ida Watson of Detroit, Mich., Margaret Orsinger of North Potomac, Md., Pat Anderson of Great Falls and Viki Gustavson of Shelter Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Leon Walters and Tom Walters, both of Wake Forest, N.C.; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 9 at Rolesville Baptist Church with the Rev. Marshall Neathery officiating. Interment was in Rolesville Cemetery, Rolesville, North Carolina.
Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, N.C. was in charge of the arrangements.
