Paperwork show at Middle St.
The Middle Street Gallery invites artists to submit slides for its "Paperwork” exhibit, which will run in the month of March. The deadline for the juried exhibition is 6 p.m. jan. 25.
Artists may submit works on paper: drawings, paintings, hand-pulled prints and collage. Also permitted: works of handmade paper, paper sculpture and paper mache. No photography will be allowed.

RAAC shows ''Nutcracker Prince'
Just in time for the Christmas holiday, RAAC will be showing "Nutcracker Prince" at The Theatre at Washington, Va. next weekend, at 2 p.m. Dec. 21 and 2 p.m. Dec. 22. As an added bonus, the first seven families to attend the movie on Saturday and Sunday will receive a full-size poster of the movie.
"Nutcracker Prince” retells the story of "The Nutcracker" in high style. All the drama, beauty, merriment and illusion of E.T.A. Hoffman's enchanting story have been richly captured in a full-length animated film that is certain to become a holiday classic for years to come. Featuring the voices of Kiefer Sutherland, Phyliss Diller, and Peter O'Toole, "Nutcracker Prince" is rated G and is 75 minutes long.
Tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for children.
Woodsmoke hosts performer
Coming to the Woodsmoke Cafe in Sperryville at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 is the folk and pop of Rob McDougald. The cover is $2 and the regular menu is available.
