The Flint Hill Firemen will sponsor their annual breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a. m. Saturday, Dec. 21. The menu will consist of bacon, eggs, potatoes, baked apples, biscuits, sausage gravy and drinks. The price for adults is $6 and children under 12 $3.
A 26-inch RCA television will be raffled off at the breakfast. Tickets may be purchased from any fire members or local merchant. Plan now to enjoy breakfast out and the children can talk with Santa, so support your local firemen.

scholarships
Brothers Scott and Justin Updike of Washington, Va. recently received scholarships from Atlantic Rural Exposition Inc., home of the State F air of Virginia.
They were both awarded grants through the Junior Scholarship Foundation, which was created to benefit 4-H and Future Farmers of America participants who maintain marketing projects of beef poultry, sheep and swine at the State Fair.
The scholarships are funded entirely by donations from individuals and businesses.
