“I have to be aware of my stress level,” she said, explaining that when she is unable to give it her “best. I just give it up for awhile.”
“This is a service to the community,” she said.
Gladys Dodson of Viewtown feels the same way.
“I know just about everyone that lives in this area,” the social notes correspondent for the Viewtown area said.
“I enjoy talking to people,” she said.
A member of Gourdvine Baptist Church in Rixeyville, Mrs. Dodson is a mother to six, a grandmother to 13 and a great-grandmother to seven. Bom in Castleton, Mrs. Dodson and her husband, Charles, have lived in their house at the intersection of routes 640 and 729 for over 30 years.
She has been a correspondent for about 10 years.
