Mr. Burke said the company planned to provide service to Chester Gap this coming summer with the rest of the service area hooked up be December 1993. He said most of the construction would be completed by September 1993, with hookups at the rate of about 50 per week after that. He said the company estimated it would be serving 800 to 900 customers in Rappahannock by the end of 1993.
He estimated it would cost the company at least $720,000 to provide the service.
Washington Mayor Dean Morehouse noted that with such a large initial investment "only a company this big could do it.”
