busy over last week
The last week saw plenty of action in the Rappahannock Athletic Association’s youth baseball league games at Pullen Field in Sperryville and Stuart Field in Amissville.
The Cubs and Tigers tied 23-23 May 19, with Jamie Boner and Chris Clatterbuck hitting home runs for the Tigers. For the Cubs, Jason Paul had two homers, Mike Dunn had two homers, and Mike Cannon hit one. Nick Treadnal and Mike Meadows drew praise for their defensive efforts.
The Lions had 11 homers in their 22-14 win over the Lil Orioles May 20. Ralph Pace, E.J. Donald and Tony Starks all had two four-baggers. Starks turned two double plays on defense, and Jonathan Bankston shined at third. For the Lil Orioles, Jamie Deal and Charde
