Amissville Ruritan Club craft show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 30 on the grounds of Early’s Carpet. To sign up, call Bill Segrest at 937-4604 or Lorraine Early at 937-6600 or 1-800870-9098. A 10-by-12 space is $20 or two spaces for $35. (Rain date to be announced.)
Early’s Carpet is holding the open house to benefit the Ruritan Club’s building fund. At present work is commencing on the plumbing. The electrical work has been completed.

WQRA 94.3 FM Sunny Van will be broadcasting live from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They will be giving away free pastries, balloons, and pepsi.
Lunch will be available as well as baked goods.
Early’s Carpet is located 13 miles west of Warrenton on south side U.S. 211. There is room for 59 spaces. When sending in your check, specify whether you desire to be on concrete or grassy area. The Ruritan’s annual barbecue will be July 11.
A phone petition is. located at Hackley’s Store. The petition is requesting phone service from our area to Warrenton in lieu of free service to the southern part of the area. Most residents shop and use medical facilities in Warrenton. In fact, many residents have a Warrenton number now. Stop by at your earliest convenience if you desire to sign the petition. Culpeper would still be free, but points south like Orange, Gordonsville and Louisa would be exchanged for free calling to Warrenton.
