High school play performed
The Rappahannock High Drama Club will be performing Susan Sandler's "Crossing Delancey" at 8 p.m. May 28 and May 30 in the school auditorium.
"Crossing Delancey" is a romantic comedy about Izzy, a bookish dreamer whose grandmother has seet her up with a marriage broker. Izzy, However, has Her eye on a well-known author who doesn't know she exists. The scenes play out as the - marriage broker and Izzy's grandmother try to get her involved with Sam, a pickleman who gets the cold shoulder more often than not.
The cast includes Jennifer Foster, Jason Fox, Alice Reeve, Heather Rossiter and J Swofford. It is directed by Lori Pfalzgraf and Susan Estes.
Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students.
County actors do Shakespeare
Three Rappahannock residents are acting in a Warrenton production of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," 8 p.m. May 29-30 at The Loft on Third Street in Old Town.
Jody Carbone is Demetrius, Ray Miller is Bottom and Howard Coon is Oberon in the play, which has garnered strong reviews since opening two weeks ago.

'Rhythms' produced this week
"Rhythms," a play about the lives of a group of Rappahannock women written by Washington, Va.'s own Chris White, will be performed in the Ki Theatre Building (the old town hall) in Washington at 8 p.m. May 29,30 and 31.
Starring seven women from Rappahannock and surrounding counties, "Rhythms" explores the patterns and issues in their lives through monologue, dialogue and humor.
