Susan Eaton, 45, of Mountain High Farm, Route 671, Sperryville, has been charged with two felonies idler she allegedly shot a crop dusting airplane in the sky above Sperryville last Thursday.
According to Rappahannock Sheriff John H. Woodward, Eaton is charged with interfering with the operation of an aircraft by shooting it, and destruction of private property. Both are felonies.
The Sheriffs Office received a phone call from pilot Jim Hubbard of Lancaster, Va. at about 3 p.m. May 21. Mr. Hubbard had been spraying a field of barley in Sperryville when he was shot at, said the sheriff. He flew back to Culpeper Airport and called police, giving them a description of the woman and the location.
