The featured dog at the shelter in Amissville this week is Wanda, a black and tan coon hound, 1-2 years old, female, found on Route 626 in Castleton. Other dogs available this week include a dobermanshepherd cross, about 5 years old, female; a 1 1/2-year-old female German shepherd cross named Stormy with all of her shots; Chester, a year-old lab-shepherd cross with plenty of energy; a terrier cross female, about nine months old, white and tan, very sweet, has all of her shots, about 25 pounds; and an Australian shepherd cross male, one year old, beautiful colors, found on Route 615 in Castleton. The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The lost animal registry can be found in the Classified Section of the Rappahannock News.
