A candidates’ forum Monday evening sponsored by the Rappahannock Farmers' Association brought lively discussion on a number of subjects ranging from land-use fixation and problems with the dumpsters. to General Assembly budgets and the budgets of the Sheriff’s Office.
The forum followed the usual format of opening statements by the candidates followed by answers to questions.
During the opening statements the incumbent Board of Supervisors members generally gave very brief statements. Hampton District representative Mike Massie encouraged people to attend the public forums scheduled by the Planning Commission for developing the Comprehensive Plan.
