The girls’ volleyball team picked up two wins in matches in the past weeks. On October 3 the team defeated Wakefield, Marshall) 15-10, 1511, 9-15, and 15-8. Coach Pam Henry said, “The team got off to a slow start, but as the match continued the team gained confidence and momentum in their hits.”
In a match with Randolph Macon the week before WCDS prevailed three games to one. High scorer for the match was Elizabeth Hickson with 14 points followed by Theresa Ruth with 11 points. The game scores were 15-1, 15-11,8-15, and 15-6.
