Piedmont District representative Charles K. "Pete" Estes urged the citizens to support the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance. “If we throw those out, that’s the end,” he said.
Stonewall-Hawthom District representative Robert Anderson said he would like to see the county not change. “That's our biggest challenge," he said. He said the supervisors also need “to take care of the county’s money and spend as little as possible.”
Jackson District representative Ellis Bingham again called for repeal of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution which allows the federal government to tax income. He said if that happened “We would not have, this polarization over land use taxation.”
