Fisher and her husband, John; a son. Col. Harry W. Peterson, III U.S.M.C. and his wife, Wendy; a son, Robert Ross Peterson and his wife, Virginia and six grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, Oct. 5 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Clarence Wayland
Clarence Ashby Wayland, 84, of Washington died on Friday, Oct. 6 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
He was born in Rappahannock County on July 4, 1911, to the late Grover Wayland and Lena Huff Wayland.
His wife was the late, Edna Hawkins Wayland.
Survivors include two sons, James A. Wayland and wife, Margaret Ann of Sperryville and Thomas E. Wayland and wife, Mary of Washington; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Monday, Oct. 9 at Washington Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. John Burke Jr. officiating.
