The WCDS girls’ cross country squad competed in a Delaney Athletic Conference meet at Notre Dame Academy last Saturday, and the girls’ team won again, clinching the regular season conference championship.
The boys finished third in the meet.
The team, as a whole, ran very strong, according to Coach Fred Chandler. “Brilliant performances” were turned in by Erin Nilan, Elizabeth Hickson, Charles Cowhers, David Hickson and Hong Joon Chun.
The WCDS girls’ cross country team also finished first in a seventeam Delaney Athletic Conference meet at James Long Park Saturday, Sept. 30, while the boys’ team finished fourth.
Elizabeth Hickson led the girls’ team and finished first. The boys were led by Peter Hickson.
