A press release received this week from The Longaberger Company showed a beautiful Easter basket and related products. Locally, the company is represented by Kelly Jo Settle of Sperryville and Kathleen Thornhill of Boston. Give either of these ladies a call to order your basket. They are available through Feb. 29. Easter will be here before you know it!
Lots of people are wondering when Cooter’s is going to reopen. According to their answering machine, it is the first day of spring. Hang tight, they will reopen soon.
Just a reminder that the annual Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point races will not be held this year at Thornton Hill in Sperryville. The race has been moved to Brandywine Park in Culpeper. The event will be held as usual the first Saturday in March beginning at noon.
Birthday wishes go out to Mrs. Lillie Corbin who will celebrate hers today, Feb. 23.

Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Pastor Daniel A. Courtney of Culpeper who died Feb. 19. Pastor Courtney was the pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Culpeper and a number of area residents attended his church.
