It looks like we are going to get a real taste of spring! I will be so glad, I’m tired of everything looking so dead.
On Sunday, the WMU Women of Amissville Baptist Church, took over the service. Thirteen of the women had gone to the Women of Faith Conference in D.C. over a two day period and came back charged up.
The church was rocking, with contemporary Christian music and testimony from Jackie Dawson. The younger girls ages 7-12 did a presentation of missionaries names, and the Acteens did the offering.
It was a great time of praise and worship. If you would like to get a tape, call • the church office at 937-6159, and experience it for yourself.
The next conference that would be close for us is in Philadelphia, Pa. I will let you know if we are planning to go.
The GA Discovers of Amissville Baptist Church will have a bake sale on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Hackley’s Cquntry Store to benefit the Culpeper Women’s Shelter. Your support and encouragement of this event will be greatly appreciated.
Youth Alive will meet this Saturday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Viewtown Store. Refreshments of pizza and subs will be available after the irieeting for purchase. So bring your children ages ten and up. If you want more information, call the Willoughbys at 9374929 or 937-5210.
