artists during the residency which began last September.
RCES teachers Joy Rollins, music and Harriette Rosenblatt, art, are the project coordinators, who have devoted an enormous amount of planning time to structure what amounts to a highly organized three ring circus of activity.
The residency is partially funded by a generous grant from The Virginia Commission of the Arts, Artist-in-Education program.
This is a matching grant that requires at least a dollar per dollar match of the funds by the community and school system in which the residency occurs.
The funding match is being provided by the school division, the Curriculum Enrichment Program, the PTO and a Headwaters mini-grant.
