The pressures on parents today are enormous. We’re busier than ever. We work longer hours. It’s more costly to raise children. It’s almost impossible to raise kids without two incomes. We come home tired after long, stressful days on the job and are faced with the responsibilities of a household to care for.
As tough as it is for two parents to raise children today, I , can only imagine the stress that single parents face.
My heart goes out to single mothers and fathers who must juggle all parental responsibilities on their shoulders.
Mr. Ralls criticizes me for expressing that sentiment and demands an apology. I can’t imagine why he feels so offended that I want to lessen the burdens government places on parents.
Too many parents are forced to work second jobs and longer hours because their tax burden is so high. It bothers me that every time taxes are increased, that’s money that parents can’t spend on their families.
Yes, families are the central focus of my campaign for the -; House of Delegates. I will faithfully and forcefully work on their behalf as I’ve always done.
