• “Making Waves” will also be our Volunteer Recognition Event this year. If you have not received an invitation, but have volunteered your time and. energy to benefit our students in any way, please came and enjoy this program and allow us to thank you in style.

• There will be an early release at 1:40 on Friday, Feb. 25. Please mark your calendars.

• The RCPS Spelling Bee for students in fourth-seventh grades will also be on the 25 at 9 a.m. Please plan to come and cheer on the competitors. We need to support all of our students whenever they strive for excellence in any arena.

• The Kindergarten-First Grade Team celebrated the One Hundredth Day of School with a special program for parents recently. The children have counted to 100, drawn 100 of many different things, skipped 100 times, run 100 yards, counted by five to 100 and so much more in preparation for this special day. They had great fun as they worked on many valuable skills!

• The District 14 Band Festival at Sherando High School will be held on March 11. This is a wonderful performance opportunity for our students. Please encourage your band students to practice a lit
