The second annual Steeplechasing Triple Crown kicks off May 4 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. with the first of three $100,000 novice hurdle stakes. Each championship steeplechase is connected to the 3-year-old Triple Crown of flat racing series — the jump equivalents are held the Thursday before each.
