A number of changes to Virginia Point-to-Point Association series rules will change the complexion of several of the historically most competitive divisions.
The Seven Corners series for owner-riders over timber has been re-restricted to “gentlemen” riders this year. In 1995, the series was opened to lady riders, but the rule change was repealed this year.
“The ladies timber riders have their own division,” explained Blue Wetherall, Blue Ridge Hunt race coordinator. “The gentlemen can have their own division back now.
