• The RCHS Public Speaking Team took firstplace “Small School Sweepstakes” honors at the Hill City Invitational in Lynchburg on Jan. 15! The allday event attracted approximately 300 students from 30 schools competing in ten Forehsics categories.
Five of ten RCHS students who competed at the event qualified for final rounds where each earned an individual events trophy. They were: senior Rebecca Metcalfe, first in Original Oratory; senior Adam Rogers, second in Humorous Poetry; senior Jami Gillis, fourth in Impromptu; senior Ian Blubaugh, sixth in Extemporaneous; junior Tatiana Siccardi, sixth in Original Oratory.
