Born Feb. 13, 1941, Glenn Elwood Simmons has farming in his blood. His father cared for field and show hunters at Sunny Bank his entire life, cutting hay from the fields and running cattle, too. Son “Bobby,” one of 12 children, said that farm life agreed with him from the start.
“Farm life is better than any of it,” he said. “It’s two different ways. Out here, you’ve gotta have responsibility, these horses depend on vou.”
