es, an honor guard, antique cars and trucks, and miscellaneous floats and groups from the county; live music; and, of course, fireworks.

One cannot help but get excited at the thought of this year’s festivities—it will surely be a great kick-off for the new millennium—and feel the need to rush to participate in its planning and execution.

There is still the opportunity to get involved; RAAC is looking for the participation of all, from creators of new and better ideas to volunteers to assist in parking.

The next meeting of the Fourth of July Committee is scheduled for March 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library, and meetings will be held at least twice monthly right up to the Fourth.

For information on how to get involved in the Fourth of July - Festival 2000, show up at the meeting, log on to RAAC’s web site at www.raac.org, or call RAAC at 675-3193.
