He was bom March 14, 1939 in Galax, Va., a son of the late Everett Brady Chandler and Lessie Myrtle Phillips Chandler.
He was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Judy J. Chandler; two stepchildren, Julie Davis of Staunton and Joe Davis of Viewtown; one brother, Charles Chandler of Bluefield, W. Va. and two step-grandchildren, Joseph and Judson Davis, both of Viewtown and several nephews.
Graveside services were conducted on Monday, Feb. 21 at the Amissville United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Richard Gordon.
