Open house at
Castleton VFD
The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department invites everyone for a day of fun at its annual open house on Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be free food, blood pressure evaluations, demonstrations and also a chance to get to know your local fire and rescue department volunteers and see what your support has done for the community

• The Washington Town Council will conduct a work session on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. to continue their review of the Zoning Ordinance.
• Monday, Nov. 5 the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors will meet at 2 and 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 6 Election Day. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
