Trash truck overturns

A tractor-trailer loaded with trash from Northern Virginia overturned on U. S. 211 on the morning of Oct. 17, damaging the rig and a guard rail and dumping trash on thftroadaide.

According to the report filed by Virginia State Trooper Gary Settle, the Western tractor and trailer owned by Lucky Dog Inc. of Fairfax was westbound on U. S. 211 just west of Sperryville when the accident occurred at about 11:36 a.m.

Entering a curve, the truck ran off the right side of the road, struck a guard rail and 'overturned, spilling its load of trash.

The driver, Wyatt Vailes, 45, of Forest Heights, Md., was injured and transported to Fauquier Hospital for treatment. He is charged with reckless driving.

No hazardous materials were being transported in trailer. Capt. Jeffrey Brown the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
