Model search coming
Dream Works International will be holding a search for models and talented individuals on Oct. 27 at the Culpeper County High School auditorium. The event is open to all residents of Rappahannock, Culpeper, Orange and Madison. Preregistration for the show is mandatory. Call 825-0406 prior to Oct. 25 to qualify for the show. Practice will begin at 9 a.m. and the show will begin at 5 p.m. Admission to the show is $5.
Cattle producer' meeting set
Dennis McDonald, Trade Committee Chairman for RCALF USA, will conduct a meeting for cattle producers at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Fauquier Livestock Exchange in Marshall. McDonald will describe the challenges facing the U.S. live cattle industry along with outlining the strategy RCALF USA is pursuing to effectively address these challenges. Rappahannock cattle producers and other interested people are cordially invited to attend the meeting.
Exhibit at Packing Shed
June Jordan's Packing Shed Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibit, “Burrows and Bearings" featuring oil paintings by Nora Harrington and etchings by Heather Self. The exhibit will be in place for the month of October.
Packing Shed Gallery is located on the corner of Gay and Porter Streets in Washington. The Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:30 to 6 p.m. For information call 675-3410.
Aerobic classes planned

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center: Oct. 25 stroke screening at Washington fire hall and Oct 31 at 1 p.m. program on Nutrition Awareness by Jane Johnson of the American Cancer Society.
