The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be having their Country Ham and Turkey Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. All proceeds go to benefit the Fire Department.
Also, the annual Halloween Party is set for Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. Donations are being accepted for the prizes and the refreshments.

Hungry Run Farm presents the fifth annual Haunted Barn event this upcoming weekend. The barn will be open Oct. 26 and 27 from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults; $5 for children ages six to 12 and those under five will be admitted free. If you need direction stop by Hackley’s Store to pick up a flyer. All proceeds to benefit the Rappahannock County School Sport Association.
The Amissville Ruritans Christmas Decorating • Contest is open to all residents of the Amissville and ; Viewtown area. The judging will be done by members of '.the Ruritans and will be on "Dec. 21 and 22. Entry forms ; will be available at Hackley’s • Store. Forms must be submitted by Dec. 15 in order to participate.
